Each year the Club agrees to "Feed the Dragons" prior to the home opening game of the season. The program invites businesses and clubs to feed the Park View High School Dragons football team before each home game and in some cases the away games as well. We request the team be informed about Rotary's PolioPlus project and to display the "We are this Close" symbol. August 2016.

In memory of Rotarian Tom Leggett our club each year provides stuffed animals and toys to "Gleaning For The World" for shipment to children around the word. The average number collected each year is 800-1000. In 2016-2017 we shipped 900 assorted stuffed animals. Help is provided by South Hill United Methodist Church and the local Girl Scouts. The toys are delivered to Appomattox by Rotarian Dwayne Gwaltney and Town and Country Cleaners.
